vendorCommerce

The platform that already speaks your market's language.

Most e-commerce platforms were built for a merchant in Berlin or Boston, then translated. Vendor was built in Skopje for merchants selling across the Balkans and beyond, with ERP sync, local bank payments, and real multi-language built into the platform, not bolted on through plugins.

Three questions that decide your platform.

Most comparison tables rank thirty features. In practice, three questions decide whether a platform will work for a growing Balkans merchant. We answer those first, then compare Vendor with CloudCart, Shopify, and WooCommerce feature by feature, including where each of them is the better choice.

  1. 01Can your customers pay the way they actually pay?

If you sell in North Macedonia or Serbia, the two largest global platforms can't process your payments with their own payment stack.

    • Shopify Payments isn't available in North Macedonia or Serbia. It is available in Bulgaria and Greece.
    • WooPayments isn't available in North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, or Montenegro. It is available in Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Croatia, and Slovenia.
    • On both, a store in Skopje has to connect a third-party payment gateway instead.
    • CloudCart supports cPay (CaSys) in North Macedonia, covering UNI Bank, Stopanska, and Komercijalna, in MKD.

    Vendor

Local card payments are built in: cPay, Halkbank, and NLB, plus Iute buy-now-pay-later, cash on delivery, and bank transfer. There's no domestic Serbian gateway yet.

  2. 02Does your ERP sync without a project?

If your stock, prices, and product data live in an ERP, the integration is the product. Everything else is a storefront.

    • Shopify has no native ERP sync. Its certified Global ERP Program lists five apps: NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sage/Brightpearl, Acumatica, and Infor. None is regional, and there's no certified SAP connector.
    • WooCommerce has no ERP category in its marketplace. Every ERP connector is third-party software on a third-party support contract.
    • CloudCart lists more than ten ERP integrations, including Microinvest, Gensoft, Selmatic, Versus, Atlas, Colibri, SAP, Prim, Workflow, and Finale, as apps in its marketplace, several built with the ERP vendor.

    Vendor

ERP sync is part of the platform and supported by us. Connectors for Vendor ERP, Colpeo, and Infobiro are built in, and the configurable connector links other ERPs through an API or files over FTP/SFTP, pulling catalog, prices, and stock and sending orders back.

  3. 03Is selling across borders one store, or several you have to keep in sync?

This is the difference nobody puts in a feature table, and it's where the work actually lands.

    • CloudCart's multi-language is an app that creates a separate copy of your store for each language, with a second app recommended to keep stock in sync between the copies. Currency is tied to each copy.
    • Shopify includes up to 20 languages (30 on Plus), and Balkan languages are supported. Its free Translate & Adapt app auto-translates at most two languages, and store policies can't be auto-translated.
    • WooCommerce is single-currency and single-language by default; both need extra plugins.

    Vendor

One catalogue and one inventory for every language you sell in, with each product's text translated per language inside the same store. Multi-currency selling is coming soon.

When you should not choose Vendor.

Every comparison page tells you when to pick its platform. Here's when we'd point you somewhere else.

You sell a few dozen products and have no ERP.

Vendor is built for catalogue and operational complexity. Under a few hundred products with no back-office system, Shopify Basic will serve you better.

You depend on an app that only exists on Shopify.

Shopify's app ecosystem is unmatched. If your business relies on one particular app, that dependency wins.

You have an in-house WordPress developer and want full control.

WooCommerce's flexibility is real. You're paying for it with your own team's time, and that can be the right trade.

You sell only in Bulgaria, in Bulgarian, with Microinvest.

CloudCart is a strong, established fit for exactly that kind of business. Our advantage appears when you add a second market or a second language.

You're on Shopify Plus and it's working.

Migrating a Plus store that's working well is rarely worth it.
