Migrate from a custom store to Vendor.
Built in-house, on a custom CMS or by an agency that has moved on? We look at how your store and team work, map your data to Vendor and bring it across from exports, spreadsheets or feeds.
What comes across.
Custom stores all look different, so we start from what your system can export. Here is what usually moves, and what you set up fresh on Vendor.
Comes across from your custom store
- Products and variations
- Categories and brands
- Product images
- Prices and stock
- Customer accounts and addresses
- Old URLs, for redirects
Set up fresh on Vendor
- Your designYour store moves to a Vendor storefront. Your branding, navigation and content come with it.
- Custom featuresWe go through what your system does today. Most of it, like discounts, coupons, vouchers and forms, is built into Vendor.
- Customer passwordsIf your system can't export them safely, customers set a new one the first time they sign in.
- Past ordersNot part of the standard import. If you need them, we plan it separately.

How the move works.
No two custom stores are the same, so the first two steps are about understanding yours. Your current store keeps selling until you switch.
- 01Review your store and teamWe look at your data, what your system exports and how your team works day to day.
- 02Plan the structureWe map your products, categories and customers to Vendor and agree the plan with you.
- 03Import and prepareYour data comes in from CSV, spreadsheet exports or feeds, and you review it before launch.
- 04Switch when readyOld URLs redirect, your domain moves to Vendor and the store goes live.
Why stores move from a custom build.
A custom store fits perfectly on day one. Over time, every change depends on the people who built it.
- Every change needs a developer, even small ones
- Security updates and hosting you have to look after
- An admin your team finds hard to use
- Features like promotions or multiple languages that take months to add
Custom store migration questions.
CSV files, spreadsheet exports and JSON feeds are the usual route. If your system can only export from its database, we look at the export with you and plan the mapping.
Not on your side. We only need someone who can export your data, or access to where it lives. The mapping and import are done by our team.
We list your current URLs before the move and plan redirects to the new Vendor pages as part of the switch-over, so search engines and bookmarks land in the right place.
We go through them with you in the review. Most common features are built into Vendor. Anything that is not, we look at together before you commit.
Vendor Standard plans start at €39 a month with no setup fee, and Vendor runs the platform for you, so there is no hosting or security patching to look after.
