How the PayPal integration works inside vendor
Offer PayPal as a one-click checkout alongside cards. Buyers approve the payment in PayPal and return to your store, where Vendor captures the order and verifies the capture identity before marking it paid.
PayPal is configured per store with your client ID and secret. Vendor drives the approve-and-capture flow, confirms each capture belongs to the right order, and lets you refund in full or part from the dashboard — with every step recorded against the order.
What gets synced
PayPal keeps the following in sync with your orders:
- Order approval and capture.
- Capture-identity verification before the order is marked paid.
- Full and partial refunds from the dashboard.
- Transaction references for reconciliation.
- Sandbox credentials for safe testing.
Setup
Add your PayPal client ID, secret, and webhook details under Payments in the admin (production and sandbox).
Customers approve payment on PayPal's secure page, then return to your store to complete the order.
