What happens between the scan and the points.

Vendor Loyalty sits behind your till, web shop and app. They identify the customer, send the purchase, and the engine works out the points, records them once and tells everything else.

What happens between the scan and the points.

Each purchase follows the same four steps, whichever channel it came from.

  • IdentifyThe till scans the card, or the shop sends its customer ID. Both find the same member.
  • CalculateThe engine applies the active campaign, the member’s tier rate or the programme default to the amount paid.
  • RecordThe points are written to the ledger once, even if the request is sent again. Tier and memberships are re-checked.
  • NotifyA signed webhook tells your app, shop and CRM, including when the member moves up a tier or gains a membership.

  2. 02Set the rulesCurrency, earning rate, rounding, redemption value and limits, expiry, tiers and memberships.
  3. 03Connect your channelsCreate an API key per system with only the permissions it needs, and register your webhooks.
  4. 04Bring your membersImport existing members and balances, or let them be created on their first purchase.
  5. 05Go liveEarn and redeem from day one. Reports and exports follow from the ledger.

What runs while you sleep.

  1. HourlyPending points that passed their return window become spendable.
  2. 02:30Points past their expiry are removed, oldest first.
  3. 04:30Members whose time in a segment or membership ended are removed from it.
  4. 05:00Every balance is checked against its transactions.
