Creating your first product
Add a product from Manage your Store → Products — title, status, visibility, media, organization, and then pricing and stock.
Products are the heart of your catalog. In Vendor, every product holds one or more variations — the variations carry the SKU, price, and stock, and each is sold independently. This guide creates a product end to end.
Create the product
Open the form
Go to Manage your Store → Products → Add New Product.
Product details
Enter a Title. The Slug (the storefront URL) is generated for you if you leave it blank. Set Status to Draft while you work, and Visibility to Visible or Hidden.
Description & media
Write the Description in the rich-text editor, then add images to the Product Gallery. Drag to reorder — the first image is the cover.
Organization
Assign a Brand, one or more Categories, and any Collections so the product is easy to browse and filter.
Save
Save the product. Editing it now reveals the Pricing & Variants, Shipping, and Recommendations sections.
Add pricing and stock
In the Pricing & Variants section, give each variation a SKU (unique across your store), a base price, and an initial stock quantity at your default location. A product needs at least one variation to be sellable.
- Why can't customers see my product?
- The product (and the variation) must be both Published and Visible. A draft or hidden product stays out of the storefront.
- Do I need a SKU?
- Yes — each variation needs a SKU, and it must be unique within your store.
