Categories, brands, and collections

Organise your catalog so customers can browse — the category tree, brands, and curated collections.

Last updated: 7 min read

Three tools shape how shoppers navigate your store: categories (the browsable tree), brands (who makes the product), and collections (curated sets). Each lives under Manage your Store.

Categories

Go to Manage your Store → Categories → Add New Category. A category needs a Title and a Type; the Slug is generated for you. Set a Parent Category to nest it, add an Image and Cover Image, and set Visibility. Drag rows to reorder siblings.

Brands

Go to Manage your Store → Brands → Add New Brand. Only the Title is required — the Slug is generated and the logo, description, and website are optional. Set Visibility to control whether the brand appears on the storefront. Brands are soft-deleted, so products keep their link.

Categories vs collections

  • Categories form a tree and drive your site navigation and filtering.
  • Collections are curated sets you assemble for merchandising (a 'Summer edit', 'Staff picks').
  • A product can sit in several categories and several collections at once.
